Meet Our Board
Ericka Early, President
She’s been a part of the CYSA board since 2015 and she is the glue. Ericka is there watching and making notes of everything season after season. Ericka takes care of registration, coach drafts, player drafts, coaches, and much more.
She is mom to Maddison 16 she refs and plays, as well Allison 12 refs and plays, Luckas 9, and Liam 2. Ericka is who you’re most likely to talk to if you have any questions or concerns about anything CYSA-related.
She truly cares about all the kids and that is made clear by the countless amount of hours she gives to CYSA. She hopes the league will continue to grow and thrive. Mostly she’s thankful the board is growing and can now hand off some stuff to others!

Erica played soccer all the way up to the college level and enjoys being able to pass on her knowledge to the new generation of players. Erica is looking forward to meeting all of the new players and parents. She hopes to help and see CYSA thrive for many more years.
Samone Thurston, Marketing
Growing up she played both outdoor and indoor youth soccer in Garland. She coordinates all our advertising and sponsorships. She helped to raise several thousand dollars last season for CYSA, funds that were desperately needed to maintain the fields, add benches, awards, and end-of-season team celebration.
She wants to encourage you to share our advertising opportunities with any small business you may know. We need your help to keep CYSA growing and thriving! She would love in the future to be able to offer several scholarships to players who may not otherwise get to play In the future the board hopes to add a special needs team and for them to not have to pay a penny!
Samone and her husband, Jordan, own Goosehead Insurance, and you may also know him as the Goosehead Grinch! They are the proud parents of, Asher (5), Aspen (5), and Cross (5) who are playing their 2nd season with CYSA and loving it.
